Product Design Engineer – Plastics / CAD / Mechanical Design
Full-time | Permanent | West Midlands
We are seeking a Product Design Engineer with strong skills in plastics, injection moulding, and 3D CAD. You’ll work on the full product development cycle – from initial concept and mechanical design through to production – creating innovative consumer products used worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new products from brief to manufacture
Produce drawings and 3D CAD models (Siemens NX or similar)
Prototype and test designs, improving performance where needed
Research and evaluate competitor products
Collaborate with tooling and manufacturing engineers to ensure design suitability Skills & Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Product Design, or related subject
Minimum 2 years’ experience in product or mechanical design
Proven experience in plastics and plastic injection moulding
Skilled in 3D CAD software (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar)
