JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator will support the Director of Marketing and Communications in all aspects of marketing for the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist in creating and updating engaging print and digital marketing materials.
  • Research and write content for newsletters, client stories, agency spotlights, and more when requested.
  • Write and produce complete stories about people for organizational use while implementing the best nonprofit storytelling models for ethical and equitable storytelling.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and official organizational statements.
  • Draft clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, email campaigns, and fundraising appeals.
  • Manage story and testimonial bank; assist with finding stories and quotes to use for various purposes.
  • Create eye-catching and informative images for social media, web, and print marketing materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop compelling messaging for campaigns, initiatives, and announcements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for media inquiries and assist in managing media relations and public-facing communications when the Director of Marketing and Communications is unavailable.
  • Help manage the design and content on the NWAFB website.
  • Take photographs to use in marketing efforts.
  • Assist in creating powerful commercials for television and radio.
  • Assist with all Feeding America national campaigns requiring local support as directed.
  • Develop strong relationships with donors, volunteers, vendors, and others to advance effective communication and
  • Design visual content for social media, email, print, and web that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
  • Create and format marketing documents, flyers, reports, and advertisements using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ensure all written and visual content reflects NWAFB's tone, style, and brand standards.
  • Provide support for large-scale events and projects.
  • Attend community events as needed to represent the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE


  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Hootsuite, and/or Canva is required.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to be covered under the organization's auto insurance are required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


  • Knowledge of NWAFB's mission, priorities, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • A desire to make a difference and do something good for others.
  • A high degree of integrity that garners the trust and respect of others.
  • A willingness to work at mobile pantries as needed to provide additional support.
  • The ability to travel, working evenings and weekends to meet job requirements.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Google Analytics, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Hootsuite, and Canva.
  • A natural storytelling ability.
  • The ability to come up with creative content, design, and solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to plan, implement, and administer communications within established deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to solve problems quickly and effectively and work independently to achieve organizational goals.
  • The ability to work with and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong internet knowledge.
