The Development Consultant/Grant Writer will serve a crucial role at ICAH in building a diversified development plan and robust strategy that elevates youth as experts and leaders in Reproductive Justice. The Development Consultant/Grant Writer will support the Co-Executive Directors to grow the current budget from between $400k-$500k to close to $1 million over the next 3-5 years, ensuring sustainability through anticipated and unanticipated transition. Essential duties and responsibilities: Research grant funders and create an organized database of strong prospects Support funder relationship-building and stewardship with Executive Co-Directors by conducting initial outreach with prospective funders and communicating with funder staff as necessary to clarify instructions and strengthen proposals Write and submit letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and grant reports Consult on grant readiness, proposal elements, and provide guidance to increase fundability Offer consultation on messaging strategy and write constituent and donor outreach materials Review ICAH materials to become familiar and keep updated with our work Communicate by email as needed to create and ensure accuracy and quality of all plans and materials Experience Desired Strong desire and commitment to Reproductive Justice and/or Social Justice work including community organizing, youth leadership development, and sex ed Demonstrated skill in fundraising, grant writing, funder prospecting, philanthropy, and nonprofits Highly organized, thorough, and detail-oriented Consistent communication and responsiveness with demonstrated success in a remote role or virtual work setting Exceptional project management, and self-management skills Technology Used Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Google Suite Applications (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Messenger/Chat) Zoom platform CRM - GiveButter Foundation Directory
