DESCRIPTION Job Title: Operations Manager Reports to: Franchise Owner COMPANY OVERVIEW: YogaSix believes everyone deserves the mind-body experience of yoga. YogaSix offers six different class types designed to accommodate students of all levels in a way that is energizing, empowering, and fun. YogaSix was established in 2012 and is the fastest growing boutique yoga company in the United States with over 200 independently owned and operated locations throughout the US and abroad. POSITION: The Operations Manager (OM) is the cornerstone of any YogaSix studio and is responsible for its financial and experiential success.

The OM is the proverbial captain of the ship, overseeing all aspects of studio Operations as well as the training and supervision of Wellness Advisors. They are also responsible for ensuring the studio is well-maintained and that customer service standards are upheld to YogaSix standards. They must have a passion for sales & customer service, take pride in their excellent communication skills, be a dedicated team leader who drives results, and be passionate about health and wellness. DUTIES Revenue Generation: A studio (yes, even a yoga studio) is a business. Therefore, the primary focus of the studio’s Operations manager is to manage and grow all revenue streams including:

Memberships and Class Packages Retail Workshops, Private Lessons and Teacher Trainings

Student Acquisition and Retention: A successful studio depends on supporting prospective students through the following life cycle:

Booking Appointments

Contacting leads in a timely manner to establish relationship and get them booked in for a class experience

Membership Sales

Following a successful initial class experience, presenting the best membership option based on the student’s goals, and overcoming objections as appropriate

Retention

Ensure new members are onboarded properly and continue to feel value of membership through both utilizing classes and ensuring class quality is exceptional Work with Studio Owner and Director of Education to optimize class schedule on an ongoing basis

Marketing Support: Working with the Sales Manager, create and execute ongoing marketing plan based on studio needs with a focus on new client acquisition, activation, retention and loyalty

Member engagement for retention, upgrades, and workshops

Monthly Studio email

Social media management

Leadership

Train, supervise, coach, mentor all wellness advisors Depending on studio needs, manage wellness advisor schedule

Studio Operations

Manage maintenance issues, inventory and cleaning Participate in studio, regional and company-wide meetings and trainings as needed Work closely with Studio Owner and Corporate Office to ensure health and profitability of the studio

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Sales & Management Experience

2+ years of retail/service sales or fitness sales experience Confident in generating personal sales and training Wellness Advisors in sales Experience supervising and training people successfully Ability to manage and drive all revenue streams: memberships, retail, and teacher training Proven experience in generating and following up on leads

Communication & People Skills

Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public Ability to stay calm at all times and act respectfully and professionally, even with customers who may voice frustrations Strong customer service skills Solid writing and grammar skills

​​​​​​​Ability to work 5-8 hours on Saturdays & Sundays and some weekday evenings​​​​​​​

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must be able to work hours that may exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week including nights and weekends, especially during peak activity periods. May be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. This job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs as elevators are not present at all locations. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
