As a member of the Growth Marketing team, you will contribute to DTC growth at Calm. We combine data-driven strategy and creative problem solving to drive consumer growth across App, Web and Offline Marketing channels, and we optimize and scale new and existing ad networks and channels. What You’ll Do
Director Growth Marketing Operations will be a key leader fueling Calm’s growth engine and driving our mission to support global mental health. You will: Own Calm’s paid acquisition media planning and budgeting across digital and offline channels (paid social, paid search, Apple Search Ads, Google UAC, and emerging platforms). Set and manage annual media budgets and performance targets in partnership with Finance, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI aligned to Calm’s financial plan. Develop forecasts, lead pacing and budget management processes, and maintain accountability with the broader DTC financial plan. Track and report on month-to-date and year-to-date pacing, working with the finance team. Partner with internal media buyers to analyze channel performance, identify optimization opportunities, and drive solutions with measurable outcomes. Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure alignment, communication, and operational excellence to achieve business goals. Deliver regular performance updates, channel outlooks, and growth recommendations to senior leadership. Analyze data to surface trends and opportunities; translate insights into tests or solutions and execute them. Manage project roadmaps to advance top priority workstreams and align stakeholders. Assist in developing and optimizing internal processes to boost team productivity. Drive new AI adoption within workflows to increase productivity, automating tasks, improving data accuracy, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration. Who You Are
Financially fluent with experience in media planning, budget forecasting, and optimizing spend for efficiency and scale. Analytical with a passion for data and the ability to turn insights into scalable action. Strong understanding of measurement, incrementality testing, cohort-based LTV, and full-funnel performance tracking. Proven track record of driving acquisition growth and ROAS across 8-figure budgets. Experience across channels in a DTC environment (paid social, paid search, ASA, Google UAC, and offline) and understanding of what drives results for each channel. Strong communicator and collaborator with a track record of influencing cross-functional partners. Highly organized, self-directed, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Haves
Experience with mobile app or subscription-based performance marketing. 6+ years in acquisition or performance marketing roles with deep in-house paid media experience. Proven success managing 8-figure paid media budgets across multiple channels. Deep understanding of media strategy, cross-channel planning, and the intricacies of online and offline media activation and performance analysis. Effective project management across stakeholders and timelines. Strong understanding of media math, plan development, channel dynamics, etc. Strong financial acumen and ability to work with finance counterparts. Compensation and Benefits
Calm uses a geographic pay model; base pay for this position ranges from $178,600 to $272,800, depending on location and other factors. The role is eligible for equity, comprehensive benefits, 401k, and flexible time off. Equal Opportunity and Accessibility
