Staff Design Producer

ŌURA . We are seeking a design leader to enable our hardware and software design teams to focus on creating innovative, high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. You will drive physical and digital product development for integrated experiences, with a strong emphasis on clear communication, organization, and timelines from concept through launch. What You Will Do
Drive collaboration between industrial design, UX/UI, engineering, and product management to deliver integrated experiences at the intersection of physical and digital. Lead the end-to-end design production process across software and hardware initiatives. Develop and maintain integrated design timelines and deliverables aligned with broader product milestones. Coordinate across disciplines to identify and address dependencies early (ID, UI/UX, firmware, mechanical, software). Serve as the connective tissue across teams, fostering communication and alignment between software, hardware, and experience design stakeholders. Drive cross-functional design reviews, sprint planning, and milestone check-ins. Act as a liaison between creative/design and technical/product teams, translating needs, risks, and tradeoffs. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned. Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments, ensuring everyone works toward the same goals. Lead regular project status reviews, gather feedback, and adjust plans as necessary. Identify and resolve challenges that arise during the design process; support timely decisions and maintain a strong focus on quality from design through product testing. Champion innovative thinking and explore new ideas and approaches to enhance product design and performance. Qualifications
8+ years of experience in design production with a track record of building and leading high-impact, complex design functions. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture. Proactive, results-oriented with a drive to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make sound decisions under pressure in complex environments. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid-remote role, with the expectation to work from our San Francisco offices at least half-time. Benefits
