We are looking for a driven and meticulous Marketing Operations Specialist who is passionate about analytics and eager to contribute to the enhancement of business strategies and effectiveness. As an integral partner to the Marketing team, you will play a significant role in monitoring performance, guiding strategic changes, and cultivating a data-driven culture by providing your expertise and promoting data literacy.
Responsibilities
Engage with and analyze data from a range of relevant Marketing sources and platforms (e.g., campaign automation, CRM, data warehouse, CDP, LMS/CMS, third-party data, social listening) while effectively synthesizing insights across diverse datasets.
Convert data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive business outcomes.
Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to establish and refine measurement and evaluation strategies for Marketing initiatives, including:
Campaign Optimization:
Dive into website content engagement metrics and campaign ROI to pinpoint top-performing assets and enhance messaging strategies for better conversion and engagement. Learning & Enablement Effectiveness:
Assess learning path architecture and training/enablement content engagement to guarantee they foster targeted business outcomes while implementing auditing cycles for content relevance. Social Intelligence:
Examine social listening data to gauge audience sentiment, identify trends, and guide marketing strategies and content development.
Support and mentor colleagues in data analysis and shaping narratives, fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making within the Marketing team. Implement and uphold event tracking via analytics tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. Utilize data tools for manual import/export tasks. Develop and manage reports and dashboards effectively. Ensure the integrity of multiple databases during platform changes and migrations by creating and applying data quality checks and monitoring systems. Deliver impactful results by engaging in problem-solving activities:
Overcome data limitations by finding innovative solutions to derive meaningful insights. Identify and proactively fill data tracking gaps while enhancing data quality. Navigate current platform challenges while anticipating future enhancements. Spot and advocate for data-driven improvements across marketing functions.
Key Skills Proficient in the usage, configuration, and management of:
Data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio). Analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics). Tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager). Data querying and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL).
Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and identify trends and insights. Experience with data modeling and/or ETL processes. Proven capability to formulate and evaluate data-driven hypotheses. Exceptional skills in crafting data-driven narratives. Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly, along with the ability to create compelling presentations and reports that simplify complex information. Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Understanding of statistical principles (e.g., statistical significance, correlation versus causation) and marketing analysis methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, regression analysis, segmentation). Ability to cultivate effective relationships with key business stakeholders and collaborate productively, including translating technical findings for non-technical audiences. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Superb organizational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects. A passion for unearthing insights from data, coupled with intellectual curiosity. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data governance practices. Project management experience. Proficient with specific marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, Eloqua, BigTinCan, HighTouch). Required Qualifications A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing analytics or a closely related role with a focus on data-driven decision-making. A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics) or equivalent demonstrable experience along with a strong portfolio of data-driven marketing analysis.
