In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

The @berkleecollege TikTok account is managed by Berklee's Office of Communications and Marketing. We're looking for creative, outgoing, and TikTok-savvy students to join our team as content creators. In this role, you'll produce short-form video content that highlights the authentic Berklee student experience-celebrating our diverse community, unique culture, and the wide range of talent and interests across campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to brainstorm and develop content ideas
  • Capture, film, and edit engaging TikToks that reflect student life at Berklee
  • Interact with Berklee's TikTok community by responding to comments and engaging with other creators
  • Stay active in the TikTok space by following relevant creators and monitoring trends
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Owns a smartphone with a strong understanding of the TikTok platform
  • Comfortable using Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, (training in Asana provided)
  • Skilled in filming and editing directly in the TikTok app
  • Up to date on current TikTok trends and formats
  • Confident engaging with students, faculty, and staff to capture authentic moments
  • Collaborative, professional, and aligned with Berklee's core values
