Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

Job Summary As an Event Planner, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of conference catering services at The World Bank. From coordinating coffee breaks and breakfasts to handling light lunch deliveries, your role is essential to ensuring seamless hospitality across the campus. You’ll respond to requests through a shared inbox, coordinate daily orders, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily catering services for internal meetings and conferences, including coffee, tea, pastries, fruit, and boxed meals
Respond to service requests from a high-volume shared email inbox with integrity and accuracy
Confirm order details, delivery times, guest counts, and dietary needs with internal stakeholders
Work closely with culinary and service teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders
Maintain accurate records in catering management systems
Assist with quality checks and follow up on any service concerns
Support occasional small receptions or hospitality setups as needed
Report to the Senior Event Planner and assist with administrative tasks
Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in catering, hospitality, or conference services
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Experience using shared inboxes and service coordination tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event or catering software is a plus
Customer-focused with a professional and courteous demeanor
Flexible availability for early mornings or peak service times
