Marketing Insights Analyst

Our client, a major manufacturing company, is looking for a Marketing Insights Analyst to join their Marketing & Product Insights team. This is a 40 hours/week assignment that will be 3.5 months long with strong potential to extend. The assignment is mostly remote but will require going onsite in the Morris County office for occasional meetings and presentations, possibly once a week (day will vary). Hours will be during regular EST business hours.

The Marketing Insights Analyst will support and manage Market Research initiatives, the results of which will drive Product, Brand, Marketing, Customer Experience strategy for the company's residential business. To be considered, candidates must have experience in marketing or UX research, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and used marketing research tools such as UserTesting.com or Qualtrics.

The Marketing Insights Analyst will:

  • Plan, manage, and deliver Marketing Insights projects (requirement gathering, defining research approach/methodology, participant recruitment, research instrument development/programming/testing, analysis and presentation delivery)
  • Craft questionnaires and discussion guides that meet the needs of the business (Leverage in-depth knowledge of survey and discussion guide development best practices to program surveys and qualitative instruments that deliver engaging quantitative and qualitative experiences to our valuable customer base)
  • Employ Qualitative research methodologies (moderation of focus groups and in depth interviews as well as the execution of unmoderated user experience testing to gather deeper insights when the need arises)
  • Analyze work and presents research findings to business owners (provide actionable insights to project owners and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive strategy, design recommendations, experience development and product optimization)
  • Manage and maintain Insights Knowledge Management Platform (uploading documents, curating insights experiences and partners with other resources to communicate/share insights assets across the organization)
  • Support in-person customer insights brainstorming, co-creation events and focus groups

The Marketing Insights Analyst must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing research or UX research within the building materials industry or similar field
  • Experience with quantitative research (survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, and statistical concepts, etc.) and qualitative/user-centered design methods (individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing, etc.)
  • Strong skills in facilitation/moderation
  • Experience with a broad range of Marketing Research tools/technology including Qualtrics, Usertesting.com and other online insights tools
  • Experience leveraging AI to support research operations
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PPT
  • Skills in stakeholder management and relationship-building
  • Bachelor's degree

Bonus:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Statistics, Research, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Human Factors, HCI/CS, Marketing or General Management
  • Certifications in Marketing Research, Customer Experience or User Experience Research
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to effectively manage a large workload with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced experience conducting analysis and sharing actionable insights
  • Experience working with and managing research service providers

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
