About the job Commercial Producer
Our client, a leading player in the insurance industry, offering commercial, personal, and group benefits lines of insurance, is seeking to hire a Commercial Producer. This role involves generating prospects, networking, establishing strong relationships, consulting on business, and closing deals. The company offers employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
Responsibilities:
Generate own prospects, network and establish credibility. Establish strong relationships and pipelines. Consult on business and close own deals. 5+ years of experience selling commercial insurance with an independent broker. Not open to off profile sales people or captive agencies (e.g., Farmers, State Farm, American Family Insurance). Should have either a book of business that can transition with them or a business plan outlining existing contacts, relationships, centers of influence, and primary & tertiary target markets. Minimum threshold is $2,500 in Revenue. Qualifications:
Ability to generate prospects: Experienced at creating own call lists, networking, using centers of influence, doing walk-ins etc. Consultative sales experience. No B2C candidates who are pitch-focused. Experience closing own deals. 5+ years experience selling Commercial Insurance with an independent broker. No personal lines producers, No Life Insurance agents, No wealth management candidates, and No captive agents (e.g., Farmers, State Farm, American Family Insurance). Open to direct writers from Sentry, Federated, Liberty Mutual. Referrals should either have a book of business that can transition with them or a business plan as a re-start producer. The plan should outline existing contacts, relationships, centers of influence, association groups & primary & tertiary target markets. Minimum threshold is $2,500 in Revenue.
