Our client is looking for a Freelance Technical Designer for a mens contemporary RTW brand. This position is based in downtown Los Angeles. This temporary role will support the Men's Technical Design Director on development for knits, wovens and denim.
Responsibilities: Represent the Company interest of universal and consistent fit and proper construction. Liaise with Design and Production to communicate company point of view to vendors. Lead / facilitate fit sessions. Communicate development and fit information, from initial concept through pre-production samples, through written reports, phone conversations, and sketches and/or pattern corrections, in a timely manner. Maintain fit standards, written reports, records and samples. Create and maintain tracking reports of sample status. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education. 5+ years of related experience; pattern skills required. Denim experience needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to partner between many departments / internal business partners. Strong Microsoft Suite skills required. Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks at once. Able to work in a hybrid environment, which may/will require working in person/in-office for a portion or all of a week based on the needs of the business.
