Overview
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services with a large global footprint. The Awards team is seeking a dynamic professional to join the Animation Awards Team, preferably in New York. The candidate should have an understanding and interest in animation as a visual storytelling medium and be well-versed in submissions across animation awards for features and series.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Director of Animation Awards with the submissions process across Animated Features and Series.
- Ensure all necessary materials are collected and submission deadlines are met by coordinating with Netflix’s Awards Submissions Agency.
- Collaborate with Filmmakers/Creators on submission strategy and progress.
- Gather, track, and organize all materials required for submissions and manage Netflix’s internal Animation Asset Awards Database.
- Foster clear and concise communication among internal teams (Internal Awards, Publicity, Content, Credits, Screenings & Post Teams) and with Filmmakers/Creators.
- Maintain extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of production assets.
- Serve as the main point of contact with Guilds/Awards organizations regarding rules, regulations, and eligibility across multiple awards races.
- Support Features and Series campaigns by creating/updating campaign schedules, booking travel, covering talent at events, and managing events during weekends/evenings; update Awards Status Reports and manage the Animation Awards Tastemaker List.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, quick thinking, thoroughness, organization, and sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage and execute the submission process for animation awards, including both feature films and series.
- Strong knowledge of Guilds and Academies (examples include AMPAS, ATAS, NATAS, ANNIES, VES, PGA, ACE, ADG, MPSE, CAS, CSA, NBR, CCA, Golden Globes, Annecy, and more).
- Ability to stay highly aligned with multiple cross-functional teams.
- Strong asset management skills.
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
- At least 3+ years of professional experience, ideally within the Entertainment Awards or Publicity industry.
- Passion and curiosity for the evolving entertainment landscape with a strong working knowledge of the awards space, with emphasis on animation.
- Understanding of how to prioritize and respond to meet deadlines while exercising good judgment.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation consists of an annual salary with a range of $60,000 - $95,000.
