Store Manager (Polaris Fashion Place) - Soma

Position posted recently. Responsibilities

  • Understands, models, and ensures Associate commitment to Brand culture, policies and procedures and holds Associates accountable for their actions.
  • Recruit, attract, select, hire, retain, and develop talent. Proactively fills positions with qualified talent; create and maintain a viable succession plan by developing internal bench strength.
  • Partner with Design and Merchandising leaders through the Product Life Cycle (PLC) process and seasonal development related to looks.
  • Lead merchandising activities resulting in healthy product turnover and gross margin.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Guarantee selling behaviors are consistent with Brand expectations through observation and coaching.
  • Support in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, or other initiatives.
  • Analyze reporting, identify opportunities, and create strategies to meet business needs and elevate the customer experience.
  • Lead execution of visual merchandising updates and product placement within Brand guidelines; maintain visual standards defined by Brand.
  • Articulate brand positioning and educate associates on lifestyle, concepts, and product knowledge.
  • Manage controllable expenses through effective scheduling and financial discipline.
  • Understand current market trends and articulate them using Brand interpretations in every customer interaction; adhere to Brand dress code guidelines.
  • Lead and drive task execution with high productivity; ensure schedules support business peaks and associate availability.
  • Ensure compliance with operational guidelines, health and safety protocols, Asset Protection policies, and applicable laws always.
  • Value individuality and diverse talents of the team; lead by communicating expectations, providing guidance, delivering feedback, and empowering the team.

Qualifications

  • High School Required; some college or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 18 years old or older
  • 5+ years of Supervisory/Management experience in retail preferred with 2+ years in a Store Manager role
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain a full store team and hold individuals accountable for performance
  • Proven ability to foster team commitment and create a positive, inclusive working environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be a role model with customer focus as priority
  • Strong organization, delegation, prioritization, and follow-up skills
  • Knowledge of visual standards and ability to implement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to forecast and analyze business trends, manage payroll expense, and deliver sales results
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds

Compensation and Schedule

Wage range: $50,340 to $60,410. Final wage determined based on qualifications.
