CGR has multiple iconic wins across major races and sponsors, with a state-of-the-art racing facility in Indianapolis and a corporate office in Pittsburgh. We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join our growing content team and shape Chip Ganassi Racing’s digital identity moving forward.
Reporting to the Senior Digital Manager, this role will manage day-to-day platform activity across CGR-owned and affiliated channels (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms such as Threads and BlueSky), with a focus on partner content, content scheduling, and campaign management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day execution of CGR’s social media content strategies across all platforms, driving engagement, audience growth, and partner value.
- Create industry-leading content for all CGR-owned channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Collaborate with the Senior Digital Manager in ideation and production of social content and campaigns.
- Innovate new and creative ways to use social platforms to share partner messaging, tell stories, empower advocates, and heighten the user experience.
- Foster community through social media management and community-focused initiatives.
- Stay informed on trends, tools, applications, and emerging technologies in the social media space.
- Use social listening tools to understand conversations and identify new opportunities for the team and partners.
- Curate, prioritize, and publish posts that align with the team and partner messages while expanding CGR’s audience.
- Monitor and assess performance analytics; report, interpret, and present progress toward goals and KPIs to leadership through regular check-ins and reports, recommending new content types as needed.
- Monitor trends in organic, branded, and paid social media; advise on incorporating them into CGR and partner content strategies when relevant.
- Collaborate with the BizOps team and partners on announcements, messaging, PR, and other digital communications.
- Contribute to the maintenance of additional digital channels (e.g., CGR website, partner apps).
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in digital or social media marketing or management, ideally in live sports or entertainment.
- Deep understanding of major social platforms and the ability to use each platform’s features fluently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, able to deliver under time constraints.
- Experience in scheduling social content on platforms like Meltwater, Sprout, or similar.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
- Ability to understand partner content needs and create social/digital solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; strong visual sense for graphics, photography, and video assets.
- Experience with social listening and analytics tools.
- Self-starter, data-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work race weekends and holidays as required.
Nice to have
- Experience in photography or videography, especially asset production for social media.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
