Photographer volunteers help the RSR communications team by taking photos of adoptable RSR animals during photoshoots at the office or events, foster homes, and/or at transports. This is a collaborative position and volunteer photographers may also help with merchandise photoshoots, photography for marketing initiatives, and photography at adoption events and community events. There are set shifts to sign up for, as well as projects to sign up for as your schedule allows. We are able to provide some lighting, stand, and background equipment. A DSLR camera and photo/video editing software are required for this role.

This group could not survive without all of our wonderful volunteers who spend countless hours devoting time to save lives. Most volunteers work full time jobs, have children, their own animals, etc and have a very busy schedule. So if your phone calls or emails are not answered by a live person right away, it’s probably because we are at work and will call you as soon as we can.

Responsibilities

• Take photos of adoptable animals during photoshoots at the office, events, foster homes, and transports.
• Assist with merchandise photoshoots, marketing photography, and event photography.
• Coordinate with the communications team and schedule set shifts and projects.
• Provide photography equipment support as available (lighting, stands, backgrounds).

Qualifications

• DSLR camera is required.
• Photo/video editing software is required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the communications team and volunteers.
