Role Details

Location: Washington, DC, US (Remote work available). Job Number: R0225741.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you’ll guide the team to understand your clients’ vision and their users’ needs.
• Act as a storyteller, translating research into actionable user insights.
• Oversee the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, rapid prototyping, interface design, and product implementation and development.
• Advocate for design-centered changes and refinements while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have

• 10+ years of experience in UX from concept to delivery, ensuring seamless, engaging, and innovative user experiences
• Experience leading user feedback sessions and testing, both in-person and virtually, writing screeners, testing scripts, taking notes, and writing reports
• Experience with high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and prototypes that translate into production-ready code, enhance user interactions, and create user flows
• Experience supporting design strategy presentations to internal teams and stakeholders
• Experience with Figma and working on Agile or Scrum teams
• Experience leading UI/UX design teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align design with user needs, product goals, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present ideas clearly
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have

• Experience with the USWDS
• Knowledge of 508 compliance
• Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles
• Ability to liaise between the technical team and the client to establish a common understanding of requirements and design

Vetting

Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.

Compensation

Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, among other factors. The projected compensation range is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
