The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects online Expository Writing tutors with thousands of students nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—reaching up to $40/hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, one-on-one online tutoring sessions for Expository Writing.
• Adapt instruction to individual student needs and learning styles.
• Leverage the platform tools and Tutor Copilot to supplement instruction and engage students.
• Communicate progress and outcomes with students and/or guardians as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Expository Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Preference given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
