About the Chicago Dream Center:

The Chicago Dream Center (CDC) is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming lives and communities through outreach and residential programs that empower individuals and families in need. We serve women coming out of human trafficking, individuals struggling with addiction, teen boys needing guidance, and those experiencing homelessness, providing practical support and hope through faith-driven initiatives.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and creative Volunteer Social Media Manager to help us amplify our mission online. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing content across various platforms, engaging our community, and helping to grow awareness of our programs and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and schedule engaging content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

  • Plan and maintain a monthly content calendar highlighting our programs, stories, events, and donation needs

  • Work with staff and other volunteers to gather content (photos, testimonials, videos)

  • Monitor social media activity, respond to messages, and engage with followers

  • Analyze performance and provide monthly insights and recommendations

  • Stay current with trends in nonprofit social media and community engagement

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience or interest in social media marketing, digital storytelling, or communications

  • Proficiency in Canva, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar platforms (or willingness to learn)

  • Strong writing and visual communication skills

  • A heart for service and alignment with the mission of the Chicago Dream Center

  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
