UI/UX Designer Virtual Volunteer Project:Medicinal Foods for Stress, Sleep and Anxiety We are looking for a dynamic UI/UX Designer who will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our Crowddoing organization. As a volunteer UI/UX Designer, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ health needs and help us grow our client base. CrowdDoing is a global virtual collaboration to research medicinal foods for stress, sleep and anxiety. Our project has the goal of advancing integration across fields of research and to build medicinal foods literacies in the population. Medicinal Foods for Stress, Sleep and Anxiety is recruiting a Volunteering UI/UX for Medicinal Foods, CrowdDoing.We're helping to build medicinal foods literacy and citizen science of foods & herbs for Stress, Sleep and Anxiety. Key Responsibilities Produce low, med, high fidelity wireframes, mockups, and workflows. Create Design Guidelines provide clear instructions to designers and developers on how to adopt specific principles, such as intuitiveness, learnability, efficiency, and consistency. Conduct user research, testing, usability testing using a variety of methods such as user interviews, contextual inquiry, and literature review, etc. Develop UI mockups and prototypes. Research and Implement Information Architecture and Behavioral Design features to help build Habit Forming products Conduct user story mapping and user journey mapping as needed. Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and other team members Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets Create personas through user research and data(qualitative and quantitative) Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends Problem-solving attitude Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables) Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) Virtual catch up meeting every week with the team Comfortable working in a startup phase non-profit organization Requirements Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Education and Certifications A Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Art, Design, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Anthropology, or a related field A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms. A team player should be able to work independently too. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
