Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm What work will you perform?

The Director of Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance the company's relationships with employees, communities and media outlets. This role manages the flow of information to key stakeholders through channels including employee communications, media relations and community engagement initiatives. The individual works with senior leadership and cross-functionally aligns communications and branding with overall business objectives. Essential Responsibilities

Develop and implement communication plans that align with company goals, including messaging development, audience identification, and channel selection. Lead and mentor a small team of communications professionals. Support executive leadership with respect to communication strategies, speech drafting, presentations, and other materials. Present information effectively to employees and community members. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, manage press inquiries, issue press releases, and coordinate media interviews. Manage corporate imagery, photography, and video for brand management and presentations. Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential negative situations and protect the company's reputation. Coordinate with the Marketing team to support brand framework, draft marketing materials, and ensure consistency across audiences. Provide copy and communications support for media advertising, sponsorships, and digital campaigns. Collaborate with the Events team on corporate events, including script writing, executive presentations, event materials, photography, booth design, and on-site support. Manage the departmental budget and allocate resources effectively. Select and oversee vendors and vendor management. Required Minimum Experience And Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience Five years of corporate communications experience Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong writing experience in a variety of formats Excellent written communication skills in long-form, AP-style writing, speeches, scripts, memos, presentations, and press releases Ability to manage public relations and media relationships Strategic thinking and ability to develop comprehensive communication plans Ability to quickly gain and maintain knowledge of relevant industry trends Crisis communication knowledge Why work at Landstar?
