Grant And Funding Compliance

Schedule/Hours: M F 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week)

This position is responsible for:

Assists in the procuring of program funds for social services programs; researches funding sources and writes grant proposals to secure funds; ensures grant proposals are completed in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible to prepare and submit grant proposals to foundations and corporate sources.

Prepares and distributes formal correspondence to grant providers including letters of inquiry, formal grant proposals, cover letters, thank you letters, reports and progress and program evaluation reports.

Researches prospective corporate and foundation funding sources; evaluates and prioritizes funding prospects.

Ensures grant proposals are completed in a timely manner and forwarded to the appropriate department/source within the required time frame.

Strategize and makes grants acquisition recommendations.

Tracks, records, and reports on grants acquisition progress.

Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.

Updates and maintains files on funders (grant makers), proposals submitted, and potential grant makers.

Communicates, by phone, e-mail and surface mail, with Corporate and Foundation funding sources.

Coordinates proposal/funding strategy with Program Directors and personnel.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures and physical discomforts associated with traveling by vehicle and/or airplane.

What We Are Looking For In You:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Social Services, Communications, Business Administration or a related field, AND

Three years experience preparing business documents, OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
