The Role
As our Marketing / PR & Community Affairs Coordinator, you’ll be the face and voice of Charlotte Mechanical both online and in the community. You’ll manage our social media, tell stories that connect, coordinate events, and find fresh ways to showcase our brand. Think of yourself as the bridge between our technicians, our customers, and the Charlotte community.
This is a role for someone who loves creating content, building relationships, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump into events, photoshoots, or community projects.
What You’ll Do
Marketing & Social Media
- Create fun, engaging, and educational content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Run digital campaigns to highlight seasonal services, promos, and our awesome team.
- Track analytics to see what’s working and tweak strategies.
- Keep our brand consistent across all channels—online and offline.
PR & Community Affairs
- Build relationships with local organizations, HOAs, nonprofits, and media outlets.
- Write and share press releases, coordinate sponsorships, and help organize charity drives.
- Represent Charlotte Mechanical at community events, home shows, and networking opportunities.
- Spot cool opportunities to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
Customer Engagement
- Manage customer interactions on social—respond to reviews and comments with personality and professionalism.
- Showcase customer stories, testimonials, and before/after projects.
- Create “day in the life” content to highlight our hardworking team.
Events & Training
- Plan and run company events (community appreciation days, giveaways, team outings).
- Organize seasonal campaigns like “Spring HVAC Tune-Up” or “Winter Pipe Prep.”
- Coordinate internal training and help keep customer service messaging consistent.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, PR, or communications (bonus if you’ve worked in the trades or service industry).
- A natural storyteller with great writing and communication skills.
- Strong social media skills and familiarity with tools like Canva, Hootsuite, or Later.
- Experience with community engagement, events, or public speaking.
- Creative, proactive, and organized—you don’t wait for ideas to come to you, you bring them.
- Someone who’s comfortable working with both office staff and field techs to capture authentic, real-life content.
