Description
This role is an essential part of the Consumer Engagement team, driving the strategy and execution of the North America Influencer and Communications efforts to increase brand awareness, earned media value, and desirability. The role builds meaningful and lasting relationships with influencers, beauty editors, and VIP talent. It spans across communications, PR, influencer and events, and works cross-functionally with the NA team including Marketing, Account Management, Field teams, Education, Retailers, and the Global brand.
Role responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and execution of US Influencer strategy across paid and earned media to drive EMV and brand ranking.
- Manage relationships with influencers across macro to micro tiers on social platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, and manage key agency partnerships.
- Drive PR/communications strategy for the US region to maintain consistent earned media coverage.
- Collaborate with Estée Lauder Digital and product teams to align product messaging and leverage insights for influencer and communications strategy.
- Coordinate with retailers, trade marketing, and promo leads to understand key launch, promotion, and selling periods.
- Liaise with Global Communications to align with global strategy and implement NA-specific executions.
- Lead agency briefs and manage overall communications strategy, including relationships with editors and long-lead product placements in partnership with the brand’s agency of record.
- Execute influencer and product seeding campaigns per approved strategy and optimize campaigns with agencies (e.g., interviews, master classes).
- Share NA launch/execution updates with NA and global teams to ensure visibility of lead executions.
- Work with agencies to optimize influencer campaigns and communications efforts (e.g., interviews, master classes).
- Coordinate inclusion and diversity efforts in NA, including influencer talent, earned media, and brand partnerships, and manage NA executions with Global Talent.
- Manage regional press strategy in coordination with Marketing for Top DMA initiatives.
- Conceptualize and create meaningful event moments for product launches or activations.
Measurements
- Define primary and secondary KPIs for all campaigns and executions.
- Collaborate with agencies to curate wrap reporting and share learnings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply learnings to inform forward-looking strategic plans across all communications pillars.
Financial management
- Manage NA Influencer/PR investment and tracking documents.
- Provide budget roll-ups to show year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter views.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of Influencer Marketing experience.
- Deep knowledge of the beauty influencer space.
- Deep knowledge of influencer reporting tools, preferably Tribe Dynamics.
- 5–7 years of PR experience preferred but not required.
- Digital marketing/advertising experience preferred but not required.
- Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Minimum education: College degree.
- Travel: 10%.
Compensation and benefits
Base salary range is $99,400.00 to $163,800.00. Final salary depends on experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible for bonus and stock incentive plans.
