Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years in marketing with media planning/account management experience
- 3+ years leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Media Strategy and Planning leads the Media Strategy team, partnering with senior Marketing leaders to develop strategic media-supported initiatives. The role leverages consumer/market insights and key partnerships to drive impactful business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead a media planning team, overseeing ideation, negotiation, and alignment of media platforms
- Manage annual and quarterly planning, including strategic briefs, go-to-market docs, and media updates
- Oversee Brand Media and Media Operations budgets, including planning, scenario modeling, and reporting
- Partner with Media Investment/Activation Director to manage agency relationships and contracts
- Develop internal and external best practices for workflow, media plans, deliverables, and reporting
- Collaborate with research teams to optimize audience segmentation and High Value Audiences (HVAs)
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and serve as media strategy liaison to Finance, Research, Marketing Ops, Analytics, Multicultural, and Business Development teams
- Set team objectives and OKRs, mentor staff, and develop career paths
- Build strong internal/external relationships, including agency partners and the media community

- Ability to translate business objectives into effective media strategies
- Experience in both agency and client-side environments preferred
