Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee $1.5–$2M in account revenue as senior, strategic client counsel
  • Develop and communicate coherent strategies for clients and projects
  • Act as trusted counselor to top executives at leading technology companies
  • Own and drive a cornerstone in the agency (careers, client service, operations, tools)
  • Generate revenue within existing clients by expanding scope and proposing new services
  • Identify and lead pitches to attract new clients with growth goals tied to salary
  • Collaborate with integrated teams to deliver multi-channel PR, digital, and social solutions
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and develop staff; monitor performance and set objectives
  • Represent Highwire at industry events to build networks and opportunities
  • Maintain profitable client service while monitoring staff billability and resource needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years in communications (in-house or agency) with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to build relationships with reporters/editors and secure high-impact placements
  • Extensive external publication writing/editing experience across media
  • Experience with social media influencer engagement and media amplification
  • Leadership in managing comprehensive strategic communications and marketing programs
  • Innovative thinker with a track record of turning strategy into action
  • Experience building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications professionals
  • Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt decisions to changing environments and anticipate needs
  • Experience establishing measurement programs and ROI for communications
