The Festival Manager, Marketing is charged with providing project management to support marketing initiatives which promote the Sundance Film Festival. This position will have one direct report to assist in project management of deliverables. Working closely under the direction of the Associate Director, Marketing, the Marketing Manager supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to reach and welcome new audiences to join us in celebrating independent storytelling at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. This temporary position works full time (40 hours per week) from Monday, October 20, 2025 through Monday, January 26, 2026 and must be based within a commutable distance to our Park City, UT office.

While much of the day-to-day work may be performed remotely leading up to the Festival, this position will need to work onsite at key points throughout the duration of employment. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. Top priorities include but are not limited to… Overseeing the planning and execution for various creative deliverables that support Festival events, corporate sponsorship activation, and ticketing. Providing project management for the Marketing team, including creating and maintaining timelines for marketing assets to support the 2026 Festival. Managing projects, including routing edits, obtaining approvals from Marketing leadership as well as internal constituents (corporate team, etc.), negotiating schedule changes, and progressing projects to the next stage in the process. Gathering and managing organization of assets for design and web team as directed. Writing a comprehensive post-Festival wrap report. Managing seasonal employees, including training highly effective employees, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure they understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles. You have the following direct or transferable skill sets: 3 years in marketing strategy, project management and execution, or related experience. Leadership skills with a background that includes leading others or managing people. Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people. Detail oriented, with the ability to audit work to avoid mistakes and perform tasks accurately. Ability to maintain confidential information. Exceptional organization and time management skills. Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
