Overview
Enrollment Communication Specialist role at University of Tampa. The Admissions Office seeks a candidate to assist Enrollment Operations and Communications in telling UTampa's story to attract, inspire and engage prospective students. This role supports communication initiatives across all stages of the enrollment funnel and contributes to UTampa's commitment to enrolling the best-fit students.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of engaging multi-channel communication campaigns that drive interest and applications from prospective students.
- Develop content tailored for prospective students across traditional and emerging media.
- Collaborate with admissions counselors, current students, faculty, and staff to collect and share authentic narratives about the UTampa experience.
- Contribute to a coordinated content calendar and ensure timely delivery of campaigns aligned with recruitment timelines.
- Write and produce multi-channel content that connects with prospective students at every stage of their journey.
- Stay current on media trends, youth culture, and platform developments to keep UTampa's communications fresh and relevant.
- Use data and feedback to test, refine, and optimize messaging and campaign performance.
- Assist with events as needed, including evening and weekend hours.
- Support additional communication initiatives as needed in alignment with strategic goals.
- Contribute to a work environment that engages with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or similar.
- Two to four years of professional experience in writing, content creation, or youth-focused marketing.
- Experience with storytelling tools (email, video, web, etc.).
- Knowledge of or ability to learn UTampa software programs such as Slate, Workday and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative practices.
- Ability to work events during evening and weekend hours as permitted.

- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summer: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Assist with events as needed, during evening and weekend hours.
