Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the entertainment industry, is seeking a Managing Editor to join their team. This role will focus on elevating editorial content across global streaming platforms, building efficient workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional content experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage a global editorial content calendar for streaming platform pages.
  • Collaborate with creative producers to plan, create, and execute high-quality editorial content.
  • Oversee asset quality control, post-production processes, and proper cataloging of artwork for internal and external use.
  • Assist with global content planning, ensuring adherence to style guides, publishing standards, and IP requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication with internal teams, external partners, and agencies to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Partner with marketing, email, and social teams to align editorial strategy with campaigns.
  • Ensure adherence to publishing guidelines, multilingual standards, and IP brand integrity.
  • Edit, proofread, and fact-check content for accuracy and quality.
  • Establish and refine workflows and systems for efficient publishing.
  • Use tools such as Airtable, project management platforms, and CMS to track and manage content projects.
  • Work closely with international teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of regional content.

The Right Candidate Will Have

  • 5–7 years of experience managing global editorial web and / or social media properties with measurable engagement and marketing impact.
  • Background working with major digital publications and editorial teams.
  • Proven experience managing editorial calendars and publishing workflows.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to bridge creative, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Expert-level writing, proofreading, grammar, and editing skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise SEO tools and collaboration with SEO specialists.
  • Knowledge of publishing guidelines and multilingual content standards.
  • Familiarity with the company brand and a passion for high-quality storytelling.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Proficiency in Airtable or similar project management tools.
  • A portfolio with writing samples.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global content operations.
  • Familiarity with proprietary publishing tools.
  • Strong stakeholder presence and ability to influence cross-functional partners.
