Position Overview

Position Summary: What you'll do and the responsibilities associated with leading area operations, staffing, scheduling, and achieving facility goals related to production, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in the area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures; monitor associate compliance and maintain procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns; listen and consult with others to determine corrective action and/or recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and supporting training and development needs; participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
  • Foster respect for the individual, build high-performing teams, and create a culture of belonging where associates feel seen, supported, and connected; create opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform.
  • Attract and retain top talent; empower and develop talent; recognize contributions and accomplishments.
  • Act with integrity by upholding high standards of ethics and compliance in alignment with Walmart values; hold oneself and others accountable; support Walmart’s goal of being regenerative and making a positive impact for associates, customers, members, and communities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications — Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR
  • 1 year Walmart Logistics Management experience OR
  • 2 years Walmart Logistics experience OR
  • 2 years supervisory experience.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications — Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no preferred qualifications.

  • Microsoft Office; experience supervising associates; Walmart Logistics Manager
  • Bachelors: Business; Bachelors: Logistics
