Overview

First American is seeking a Senior Designer with expertise in digital design to join the creative team. The role combines creative design with technical proficiency to elevate the brand's visual storytelling across digital platforms. The Senior Designer is responsible for planning, concepting, layout, design, and post-production to produce high-quality work that meets marketing objectives and drives results, and to help apply and evolve branding guidelines.

What You'll Do

  • Design visually compelling assets for digital channels, presentations, marketing collateral, tradeshow support, and other branding materials.

  • Develop innovative concepts and solutions that align with brand guidelines and project objectives.

  • Maintain corporate identity, design standards, and policies.

  • Develop creative for cross-channel campaigns, ensuring cohesive visual storytelling and brand consistency across platforms.

  • Design and optimize website layouts that enhance user experience and reflect current design trends.

  • Collaborate with web developers to implement design solutions that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with SEO principles.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML for email design and development.

  • Proficient in Figma for designing high-quality digital assets across platforms.

  • Working knowledge of short-form animation for marketing and social platforms.

  • Present design work to key stakeholders with design rationale and support with competitive analysis research.

  • Troubleshoot production problems and interact with internal staff and outside vendors regarding production issues.

Collaboration and Project Management

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing leads, communications, and other teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.

Supervision

  • Works independently under broad supervision.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at senior management levels across functional groups and business units.

What You'll Bring

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in design.

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Experience in digital design.

  • Experience in Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and/or HubSpot preferred.

  • Figma experience required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills; able to interpret color specifications.

  • Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.

  • Self-motivated; self-starter.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond quickly to emergent problems, and focus on long-range projects and immediate tasks.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in graphic design with a strong portfolio.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and work collaboratively within a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

The pay range for this role is $75,375.00 - $100,475.00.

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
