Overview

KTVO is looking for a Multimedia Journalist for our Ottumwa, Iowa station. Responsibilities include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enteringprising story ideas, developing contacts, and other duties as assigned. The MMJ will produce daily content across platforms including the internet, social sites, mobile devices, and television.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Develop enterprise story ideas and build contacts.
• Produce daily content for multiple platforms (TV, online, social media, mobile).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to tell an NPPA-style story.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Ability to work well independently.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year reporting experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Experience with live shots is required; experience with Live-U is a plus.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
