About This Role
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and production of the content for social media platforms, blogs, and digital marketing campaigns. Enhances and expands social media marketing to generate inbound traffic to the website and programs. Develops guidelines and conducts training for staff in maintaining their department social media sites. Provides ongoing metrics to track impact and effectiveness of social media sites.
What a day of a Digital Media Coordinator looks like
- Manages and produces content and videos for social media accounts and websites.
- Produces, designs or develops computer-based graphics, digital images, video and audio.
- Works with internal and external customers regarding marketing concepts and graphic ideas as well as presentation of feasible solutions.
- Independently researches new techniques and tools required to keep pace with new technologies. Stays abreast of latest knowledge of marketing communications trends and incorporates new ideas into marketing and public relations strategies.
- Provides consultation and assistance regarding specific matters within area of expertise. Maintains knowledge of photography for marketing purposes through proficient use of digital cameras.
- Ensures brand integrity and maintains the highest standards of quality for marketing communications.
- Provides information to the public, students, and staff regarding programs and services of a department, campus, or College.
- Assists in developing projects and campaigns for special events, community and public awareness programs, and other marketing and advertising strategies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree within specific subject area related to the position
- Two years of related experience
Knowledge Of
- Web Content Management software
- Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection or similar application
- Graphic and video image editing software
- Social media platforms
- WordPress blogging software or similar application
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled In
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Digital photo re-sizing and manipulation
- Creative thinking and problem solving to explore new technology, processes, and approaches
- Writing in a positive manner to reflect favorably upon the organization
Ability To
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
- Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, Or Special Requirements
- Regular physical attendance required
- Valid Florida driver’s license
