We are looking for an innovative Product Manager with a passion for news, media, and AI to join the Apple News Product team.
Responsibilities
- Help build the future of Apple News with innovative features that delight our users, empower our editors, and support our publishing partners
- Work with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, editors, producers, and marketers to develop new features and enhancements for existing features that deliver outstanding experiences for Apple News users
- Write concise product requirements that capture the vision, goals, and key requirements of new features
- Continue to expand and perfect existing Apple News features and verticals like Local, Audio, Food, Sports, and more
- Be an expert on the competitive landscape and propose new ways to innovate
- Work across many teams at Apple to communicate product requirements and deliver features, striving for the best customer experience, and with a willingness to make smart compromises as necessary
- Initiate, coordinate, and review launch activities and deliverables for new features in conjunction with business, public relations, AppleCare, marketing communications, and many others
- Create and deliver formal presentations and conduct group discussions for a broad range of diverse partners across Apple
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing consumer products
- Exceptional product sense and a proven track record of launching impactful features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Experience building AI-enhanced user-facing products
- Experience producing articulate and inspired presentations that communicate your product vision
- Demonstrated success as a collaborator and communicator; can shape information to the appropriate level of detail and convey it effectively to align diverse teams around a shared goal
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in news, media, or AI is strongly preferred
- Deep familiarity with AI platforms, frameworks, and responsible AI principles
- Experience with digital subscription products is a plus
- Skilled at synthesizing problems, insights, and opportunities into clear goals and plans that articulate both the "why" and the “how”
- Fundamentally analytical with a deep understanding of customer needs, maintained by regularly absorbing feedback, research, and insights
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
