Overview

Senior User Experience Designer (individual contributor) to help create a simple, modern wealth management platform for Advisors and Associate Wealth Advisors in the Wealth and Advice Solutions (WAS) organization. You will translate strategic insights into actionable experience concepts, define structure, flow, and content, and visualize ideas through interactive prototypes to align teams and guide development. The role requires collaboration with WAS stakeholders and alignment with Sales and Service experiences to ensure a cohesive, intuitive rep desktop.

We expect in-office collaboration and the selected candidate to work on site in the specified location(s).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaborative design sessions including sketching and ideation
  • Lead design reviews and drive decisions
  • Create design solutions with a multi-faceted team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together
  • Represent the design team brand and deliver a consistent design process to partners
  • Understand that great designs are achieved iteratively
  • Visualize ideas in a clear form (sketch, diagram, wireframe, or prototype) and provide appropriate level documentation
  • Set expectations with the project team and prioritize activities
  • Create and maintain design schedules
  • Communicate status and agreements with project team
  • Review work with UX managers, keep them updated on project status and escalate items appropriately
  • Take a systematic approach to designing interfaces, ensuring consistency across experiences
  • Conduct the primary design activities, create deliverables, and conduct QA at an expert level
  • Participate and support research efforts
  • Commit to improving processes and methods with emphasis on effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to craft solutions that meet business objectives and user needs
  • Strategically listen to feedback and help guide the delivery
  • Maintain an evolving design mindset when presented with new information
  • Demonstrate passion for the team, mission, partners, and users
  • Be enthusiastic about solving complex problems

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BFA degree
  • More than 5 years of design experience on digital products in a financial services environment with in-depth understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, technology applications, business architecture, client and representative experience, and project management
  • Background in Enterprise Environments, Business and IT Strategy, Agile, Lean, Process Design, Program Management, CRM processes and technologies
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to articulate design rationale that connects user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility
  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to track and manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding and/or experience with financial services regulations
  • Knowledge of Schwab products, services and support systems

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
