Overview
Evans & Chambers Technology is seeking a highly motivated Software/Web Developer to join our team. Clearance: Active TS/SCI (Required) with ability to pass CI Polygraph. Location: Dayton, OH (On-Site). Evans & Chambers partners with the US national defense community to create fully integrated, resilient, and innovative digital solutions that enable real-time decision making. Our applications focus on intelligence analysis and collection management to support intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands.
Responsibilities
- Supports software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection, and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)
- Interacts with customers and development team to gather and define requirements
- Analyzes and studies customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs
- Designs, creates, tests, and maintains software and web-based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements
- Follows a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant)
- Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrates them into a coherent site
- Designs and develops visually pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
- Develops and maintains software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades
- Provides software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development lifecycle
- Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
- Develops training materials related to Tier 0/1 ensuring they are comprehensive enough for ESOC technical staff to troubleshoot the application
- Participates in DevSecOps processes and practice principles during all design phases
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Security clearance status of TS/SCI with ability to pass a CI polygraph test
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT) / IA Management (IAM) Level 2
- Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA DevSecOps process; understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture
Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma/GED – 12 years’ experience
- Associate degree – 10 years’ experience
- Bachelors’ Degree – 8 years’ experience
- Masters’ Degree – 6 years’ experience
- PhD – 4 years’ experience
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science and eight years of comparable work experience
- Up to ten or more years of program/application operations experience
- Experience in the Intelligence Community preferred
- Analytical with the ability to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues
- Strong risk management, communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills
