Overview Canton & Company is seeking an experienced

HubSpot Sales & Marketing Operations Specialist

to support our internal teams and clients. This role thrives at the intersection of sales, marketing, and technology, with a strong command of HubSpot CRM and marketing automation. The individual will manage and optimize HubSpot CRM, maintain clean and accurate data, develop and recommend sales and marketing campaigns, build dashboards and reports, support pipeline and sales operations, and assist in developing marketing automation workflows and sequences. They will support Cantons internal business development and marketing teams and work directly with clients to implement and maintain HubSpot best practices. Initial contract role (40 hours/week) with strong potential to transition into a permanent position. Hybrid work model: Baltimore, MD office 23 days/week preferred; will consider strong remote candidates. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Own day-to-day HubSpot CRM management (contact & deal data, lists, workflows, reports, dashboards). Administer and maintain HubSpot platform including CRM, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub (new) enhance overall system performance. Build automated workflows, sequences, and lead scoring/routing for improved lead quality and workflow efficiency. Manage HubSpot integrations with tools such as ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, Clay, Slack, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Salesforce, Zapier, etc. Support Cantons business development team with sales operations, pipeline reporting, forecasting, and process optimization. Partner with Canton Marketing to develop, execute, and monitor HubSpot-based campaigns: email, landing pages, forms, social media, sequences, workflows, and overall strategy. Set up/A-B test email, SMS, landing page campaigns and optimize customer journeys aligned with lifecycle stages. Conduct CRM client/prospect audits, recommend improvements for presentations and proposals. Contribute to proposals/SOWs for HubSpot CRM implementations and ongoing engagements. Implement and maintain clean database hygiene: dedupe, segmentation, tagging, attribution, lifecycle tracking, compliance standards (e.g., CAN-SPAM). Generate actionable dashboards and reports: marketing campaign performance, sales funnel metrics (conversion rates, time to conversion), revenue trends, funnel health, KPIs. Lead A/B testing initiatives across campaigns to optimize performance (open rates, CTRs, conversions). Provide training and support to internal and client teams on HubSpot functionality, best practices, and new workflows. Be the point of contact for client marketing ops inquiries, troubleshoot issues, coach on maximizing HubSpot tools. Identify and integrate AI or automation tools to improve efficiency Be present and punctual at all company and client meetings. Must have reliable internet for virtual meetings and transportation for in-person/office meetings. Qualifications Proven experience with HubSpot CRM and all relevant Hubs; certifications strongly preferred. Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. 35 years of experience in Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, CRM administration Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations. Excellent written/verbal communication; very comfortable client-facing. Experience as the HubSpot/CRM Lead for a consulting firm, agency, or corporate team.
