Miller Ink is seeking a dynamic Public Relations and Crisis Strategist to join our fast-paced, growth-oriented team. This role blends high-level client management, strategic communications planning, and specialized crisis support. Responsibilities
Client and Account Management
Serve as a lead point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring strategic objectives are met.
Oversee the development and implementation of strategic communications plans across multiple platforms.
Participate in and lead client calls, ensuring effective follow-up and execution.
Crisis Communications Support
Draft and edit client statements, press releases, backgrounders, and other strategic materials.
Engage with reporters on behalf of clients, cultivating strong media relationships.
Track traditional and social media to inform client strategy using company monitoring tools.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors to support client needs.
Team and Project Management
Lead account teams, providing guidance to associates, creative professionals, and vendors.
Manage client billing and time-tracking processes efficiently.
Content Development
Craft high-quality and strategic written content, including op-eds, talking points, and social media posts.
Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling videos and other content.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of professional experience in public relations, communications, journalism, government, political campaigns, or a related field.
Strong writing, editing, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet tight deadlines.
Proven success in media relations and familiarity with digital strategy.
Crisis communications experience is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
