We are actively seeking candidates who possess a genuine passion for tech PR and are excited to expand our team.
Responsibilities Media/Influencer Relations
Strong knowledge of all media and influencers relevant to clients’ business
Proactive media engagement and storyline development
Strong relationships with regular media and influencer targets
Secure coverage for each account according to team goals
Client Service/Management
Facilitate media briefings across client accounts and provide feedback to clients
Own portions of client PR calls
Provide counsel on media opportunities and coverage
Present quarterly/yearly account progress (as needed)
Own key elements of the PR program (analysts, influencers, speaking, content, etc.)
Become a go-to resource for client contact
Writing Proficiencies: generate press releases and other content that meet client satisfaction with minimal edits
Ability to generate and edit award submissions, press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, tour reports, briefing books, contributed articles, speaking opportunity abstracts, pitches, Q&As, and general team correspondence
Professional, articulate and timely client communication
Development of consistent, creative, successful pitches
Agency Operations: mentor junior staff, assist in development of goals, and conduct reviews
Participation in new business process including identifying targets, research and pitching
Identify, attend and encourage attendance at networking events
Maintain a respectful, enthusiastic and professional attitude toward coworkers, clients and external colleagues; lead by example
Support teams and manage up and down
Use of flexible work policies
Writes for Highwire blog and uses Highwire social channels
Self Development: set quarterly goals, prioritize based on impact, and drive projects forward independently
Identify areas for self-improvement and bring suggestions to management
Consistently meet deadlines or provide notice if unable to
Attends regular networking events
Qualifications Our ideal Account Executive has 2-3 years of PR experience—at an agency or a startup—and is ready to elevate their career. You have solid relationships with key players, are in tune with social media, and are an exceptional writer. You are on the cusp of discovering a role that will develop new leadership skills under seasoned guidance in a forward-thinking agency.
