Job Overview
The General Manager (GM) plays a critical leadership role at TruFusion, responsible for driving sales performance, fostering a high-energy team culture, and ensuring outstanding member experience. As the face of the studio, GM leads by example, champions the TruFusion brand and culture, and strategically guides the studio to achieve both short- and long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Facility Management
- Oversee all aspects of studio operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Manage schedules, inventory, and processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with maintenance and cleaning teams to promptly resolve any facility-related issues.
- Track and report key operational metrics to assess and improve studio performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing studio team aligned with TruFusion’s values.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that promotes accountability and excellence.
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and commitment to member service.
- Address performance concerns and ensure effective personnel management.
Sales & Business Growth
- Drive membership and revenue growth through strategic sales efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Director to set and achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to attract and retain members.
- Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
- Support the front desk and sales team in outreach and lead conversion.
Member Experience & Community Engagement
- Ensure a top-tier member experience fosters retention and engagement.
- Address and resolve member concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with members to create a welcoming, inclusive community.
- Oversee class scheduling and ensure high-quality instruction and engagement.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in coaching and motivating staff.
- Proven ability to drive sales and meet revenue goals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience
- 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in the fitness, hospitality, or service industry.
- Experience leading teams of 10+ employees.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing studio operations.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the studio, including assisting with classes and facility needs.
- Occasional requirement to demonstrate fitness techniques.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to loud environments and moving mechanical equipment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% for training and meetings.
