Job Details
  • Job Title: Content Design & Publishing Specialist (Drupal)
  • Pay Rate: $45–$55/hour (W2)
  • Location: Northbrook, IL – Hybrid (1–2 days onsite)
  • Contract: Through end of year, 40 hrs/week (Contract only, no conversion)

Position Overview:
  • We are seeking a Content Design & Publishing Specialist to join the web team supporting the client’s corporate and regional websites. This hands-on role involves publishing content within Drupal CMS, working closely with creative teams, and adhering to strict brand, legal, and governance guidelines.
  • This role focuses on content layout, technical accuracy, and best practices for web publishing. You will play a key part in reducing a large backlog of publishing tasks (~100 open items) while ensuring high quality and consistency across sites.
  • Note: This is not a copywriting, UX design, or SEO research role.
Responsibilities:
  • Review content intake forms and apply wireframes to build pages in Drupal CMS.
  • Create page mockups for stakeholder review and obtain approvals before publishing.
  • Update and maintain existing website pages, making minor changes as needed.
  • Apply UX best practices, perform basic graphic design adjustments, and provide technical SEO support.
  • Collaborate with creative teams, UX designers, and global publishing staff.
  • Ensure all content complies with brand, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Help manage and reduce backlog of publishing tasks to maintain steady workflow.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience publishing in Drupal CMS.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS, comfortable working with code when needed.
  • Working knowledge of technical SEO concepts.
  • Strong understanding of UX best practices for page layout.
  • Ability to make basic graphic design adjustments to improve page visuals.
  • Experience working in compliance-heavy or regulated industries (healthcare, finance, etc.) is a plus.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and process-driven mindset.
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with Workfront or other project management tools.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, finance, or similarly regulated sectors.
