Overview Join to apply for the Design System Contractor role at Sigma . Sigma is building a cloud-native business intelligence platform to help users analyze data without programming. We are growing the product design team and seeking a designer with curiosity about users and the ability to craft world-class experiences. You will be part of a talented team of designers focused on making data analytics usable for non-technical users. This is a contract position with an anticipated duration of 6 months, with potential to convert to full time, and is an onsite role at our San Francisco office. What You Will Be Doing Actively contribute to extending the Phi design system, fostering cross-team collaboration and adoption. Design new components and enhance existing ones within Figma libraries. Work closely with the Design System Design and Engineering Leads to align design and code across Figma and Storybook. Define and document reusable components and patterns. Explore how AI tooling can optimize system documentation workflows and efficiency. Qualifications We Need 3+ years of product design experience, with a focus on design systems in product-led environments. Strong visual design skills, including a deep understanding of layout, hierarchy, and interaction. Technical fluency in Figma, including variants, style management, variables, design tokens, and semantic structure. Experience supporting design systems for the web. Familiarity with Storybook to ensure design-code consistency. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and document effectively. Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative, and ambiguous environments. Portfolio Requirements Provide libraries you have released, demonstrating system-wide thinking and depth in UX design skills. Additional Job Details Compensation for this position is hourly: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour.
