Hired In Michigan Community Empowerment is hiring: Event Videographer in Southfi

Location: Metro Detroit, MI
Commitment: Part-time, flexible schedule; 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and some weekends may be required

We are seeking a reliable and creative Event Videographer to join our team. This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals looking to build a portfolio and gain real-world industry experience while receiving payment per event. You will capture live events and produce video content that highlights workforce development and community initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video footage during live events, workshops, and interviews.

• Provide your own professional or semi-professional video equipment (camera, tripod, audio gear, etc.).

• Assist with set-up and breakdown of equipment.

• Collaborate with the event team to determine key moments and storytelling needs.

• Edit short clips for social media, websites, and promotional campaigns (preferred but not required).

• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and project goals.

Requirements

• Must have access to and use your own video equipment.

• Strong interest in videography, filmmaking, or digital media.

• Familiarity with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.

• Basic knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Flexible schedule with availability for evening/weekend events.
