The Videographer for Missouri Reign will be responsible for capturing and producing high-quality video content that supports both the coaching staff and the organization’s media presence. This role involves filming games, practices, and team events; managing equipment; and ensuring footage is delivered in a timely and organized manner. The Videographer will play an important role in helping coaches analyze performance, while also contributing to the creation of engaging content for fans and sponsors.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and manage cameras to record games, practices, and team events.
  • Ensure proper angles, clear framing, and strong lighting for professional-level footage.
  • Capture creative content for promotion, social media and website use.
  • Film home games and travel to select away matches as needed.
  • Record key plays, highlight moments, and sideline and fan reactions.
  • Arrive early on game days to set up, test, and prepare all equipment.
  • Attend scheduled practices to capture footage for coaching review.
  • Work with staff and social media team to focus on specific players, concepts and content.
  • Upload and organize video files following games or practices.
  • Maintain a clear archiving system to allow easy retrieval for coaches and media staff.
  • Ensure backups are stored securely to prevent loss of content.
  • Communicate regularly with other media staff and coaches to understand video needs for team.
  • Support editors by providing clean, well-labeled footage for highlight reels and other projects.
  • Assist with special filming requests for social media, promotional shoots, or live streaming.
  • Keep cameras, tripods, and accessories in good working order.
  • Perform routine checks and address technical issues promptly.
  • Coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with video editors to provide input on specific plays or sequences for inclusion in highlight reels, promotional videos, and other content.
  • Provide technical support to other departments for video-related needs, such as social media or promotional shoots.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating cameras and related equipment in live sports or event settings (preferred but not required).
  • Strong understanding of framing, angles, and basic lighting principles.
  • Ability to manage and organize large volumes of video files.
  • Dependable and punctual, especially for game days and scheduled practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with coaching and media staff.
  • Willingness to travel to select away games as needed.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills for camera and video equipment.
  • Passion for sports and interest in supporting team development and storytelling.
