ANGLING TRADE is hiring: The Fly Shop Looking for Graphic Artist in Redding

Overview

The Fly Shop is on the All-America search for a graphic artist to assist with the development of brochures, catalog, advertising and social media. Positions like this with our company are rare and what we’re looking for is someone with graphic and social media skills and also speaks fly fishing. We’re after a person who is passionate about the sport and would like to grow their professional skills in the company of one of the top teams in the fly fishing industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in graphic design, editing, advertising, brochure and catalog layout for print and on-line media.
• Support expansion of social media efforts and management of the image library.
• Work well with others and apply graphic arts skills and computer literacy (Quark, Photoshop, CSS, Illustrator, Lightroom).
• Digital photography skills are a plus but not essential.
• Collaborate with an experienced Graphic Art Director and a team of travel and retail professionals.
• Use this position as an opportunity to polish and expand graphic design and related skills within the fly fishing industry.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Strong graphic design and social media capabilities with experience using Quark, Photoshop, CSS, Illustrator and Lightroom.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
• Passion for fly fishing and a desire to grow professionally within a leading company.
• Willingness to relocate to Redding, CA.
• Digital photography skills are a plus.

• Starting salary is competitive and commensurate with responsibilities and experience.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, office-based.
