Job Summary

Personal & Professional Learning is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Photography Instructor to contribute to non-credit photography classes. As an On-Call Photography Instructor, you will deliver engaging and informative photography instruction to a diverse group of learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & deliver comprehensive photography lessons suitable for a non-credit class environment.
  • Instruct on fundamental photography techniques, equipment usage, composition, and post-processing.
  • Collaborate with the program coordinator to create and update course content that aligns with students’ needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
  • Offer constructive feedback on student work, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Address individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Ensure proper care and use of photography equipment during classes; assist students in understanding and utilizing equipment.
  • Maintain open communication with program coordinators, staff, and students; respond promptly to inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a photography instructor and/or professional photographer.
  • Strong knowledge of photography techniques, equipment, and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Enthusiastic about fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates/Bachelors degree.
