Overview

Senior UX Designer / Principal UX Designer with Security Clearance – Eleven Peppers is hiring. This role involves collaborating with users and stakeholders to define interfaces, conduct user research, and design intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define interface requirements by collaborating with users and stakeholders
• Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through user research
• Design user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive and present a clear flow of information
• Brand and design UIs, define style guides to ensure consistency in the interface
• Collaborate with teammates that may include other designers, project managers, developers, engineers, and product champions
• Concept system architectures

Qualifications

• You have a bachelor’s degree in information systems, human factors engineering, or a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Usability Engineering) and at least 14 years of experience
• You’ve mastered Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software, to design sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups
• You have experience with a prototyping tool such as Axure, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Your design sensibility is refined and purposeful, and the artifacts you create are beautiful and functional
• Talking to users and soliciting their feedback is second nature, and you can articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences
• You have excellent communication skills, both writing and speaking
• You have the ability to communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
• Desired: Experience with Agile development

Employment details

• Work location: Columbia, MD. Some telework may be available.

Compensation

Salary range provided during the selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on factors including years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
