Overview
The Associate, Visual Merchandising, 57th Street - New York Flagship role is to maintain the CHANEL brand image in the Boutique, elevate the client experience, and facilitate the selling process. This role reports to the Boutique Director with a dotted line to the Regional Visual Merchandising (VM) Manager.
Responsibilities
- Expedite the selling process for Fashion Advisors by changing mannequins, pulling and replenishing items from the selling floor, substituting displays when product is needed for clients, etc.
- Serve as the store VM Lead contact when the VM Lead is on other projects, during corporate holidays, and on weekends.
- Support Operations with product prep for floor moves and collection launches, including preparing display items with P Touching.
- Update digital photo files for VM maintenance as changes are made.
- Keep documentation of window items current (SKU, price, size, etc.) for the selling team’s reference.
- Assist in implementing events, sales, seasonal installs, corporate events, and other business-driving initiatives in the Boutique.
- Communicate effectively with the boutique selling team and management.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.

Position Logistics
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Basic knowledge of retail operations, display and merchandising
- Experience in basic computer software and digital photography
- Minimum associate degree, preferably in a fashion-related major
- Ability to work on a ladder; be willing and able to lift 30–40 lb
- Able to move heavy items - may include overhead lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 25 lbs
- A flexible schedule with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Front of House Fashion: Full-time in-store and in-person presence required to support client sales and deliver elevated client service to drive business results

Compensation
- The anticipated hourly range for this position is $24.00 to $28.00. Base pay is one component of total compensation; other forms of variable pay may be offered, along with additional benefits and perks.
