The Senior Manager of Communications
is responsible for providing strategic communications advice and hands-on support to leaders within the Americas region for the Global Flexibles division, with the aim of achieving organizational objectives and mid-term aspirations. The role leads, develops internal and external communication campaigns in support of the growth agenda, and implements effective communication plans including change communications and alignment to business and regional strategy. The individual will decide on the content strategy and channels for shared internal communications to support employee engagement and alignment. The role also participates in external activities to enhance or preserve the Amcor brand and division reputation, including during potential crisis management. It collaborates with other functions, business areas and Communications professionals across Amcor to ensure messages reflect company priorities and standards. This role requires strong collaboration across the region and division, and the ability to manage competing priorities, with good organizational skills and the capacity to partner with leaders. What You Will Do Geographic Scope: North America Provide strategic communications consulting and support for senior leaders including VPs on major change initiatives and transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, policy changes, etc.) Lead development and execution of innovative campaigns to boost growth mindset and energize employees Coach senior leaders and executives to fulfill the role of change sponsor and effective communicator Build strong relationships with business/functional leaders to deliver the communications strategy and key messages Develop and implement the Americas Flexible division strategy for maximum reach and clarity of outcomes Provide internal communications support for leadership and enterprise initiatives Produce timely communications materials (announcements, articles, messages, Q&As, presentations, etc.) Lead PR initiatives and provide strategic insight to drive business results Ensure materials reflect key business messages and measure effectiveness of communications activities Collaborate with the Communications Leadership team on global projects and integrated content strategies Support front-line managers on large, sensitive projects Manage digital platforms and a cohesive channel strategy aligned to business priorities Research and implement new communication vehicles to reach a global employee audience Protect and enhance the Amcor brand with internal stakeholders Support leadership events both internal and external Lead, deploy and execute an annual communications plan aligned to Amcor strategy What We Value
Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus For Latam-based roles, fluency in Spanish and English is a plus Exceptional copywriting across multiple formats Ability to read interpersonal dynamics and maintain productive relationships, even during conflict Solid business and financial acumen, translating business imperatives into communications solutions Resilience and results orientation; comfortable with tough assignments Ability to make fast decisions, challenge the status quo, and present new ideas Ability to shift between strategy and hands-on execution Ability to simplify complex concepts into creative assets Project management skills for complex, multi-stakeholder projects Digitally savvy with a deep understanding of communication tools and channels Strong cross-cultural collaboration and coaching skills Team player with ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple demands What We Want From You
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field Master’s in Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline is a plus Approximately 8-12 years of internal/external communications experience, preferably in a packaging manufacturing environment Hands-on experience in FMCG, manufacturing or international companies, agencies Experience managing agencies and vendors Strong interpersonal communications, collaborative mindset, and project leadership Experience in change communications and integrated internal communications programs Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills Mastery of communication tools relevant to business objectives Strong leadership and decision-making in a matrix organization Strong project management and change management experience at enterprise level Focus on delivering key outcomes and engaging ideas Our Expectations

The starting salary is expected to be between $98,000 and $122,500, with potential variation based on knowledge, skills and experience. Base pay may be eligible for incentive programs and standard health and welfare benefits.
