This position is full-time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is only available in New York City.

Responsibilities Role Overview:

This role will serve as a member of the agency’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to lead priority corporate communications-driven accounts as well as helping to drive other priority internal/external agency initiatives. The role provides a significant entrepreneurial opportunity, working closely with the co-founders (and other senior leaders), in shaping the company’s culture, chemistry and providing input regarding policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a communications leader, mentor and project manager with the ability to multitask, self-motivate and work within deadlines. We’re looking for candidates with a strong track record of driving results that help brands and their executives build, elevate and measure corporate reputation and break through to achieve earned media success.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the “CEO” of our brand reputation-driven accounts

Partner with agency leadership on the vision and day-to-day execution of our corporate communications driven offering across earned, executive and social channels

Lead the communications team’s approach for measurement and effectiveness, setting process, tools and approach

Demonstrate keen understanding for the unique business objectives of each client, and help develop communications strategies and activations to meet those goals

Build and drive corporate communications strategies across our client roster, across channels

Lead project plan and scope of work development across key corporate-focused clients

Lead PR narrative development and distribution strategies across priority projects, through the lens of executive voices

Create cross-channel strategic plans, decks and presentations on behalf of agency and its clients, including generating ongoing new ideas and value beyond the scope of current client assignments

Further the agency team’s perspective on the future of news and earned media

Leverage media relationships to break through with news and ongoing brand narratives

Proactively anticipate client needs and keep multiple activities moving

Provide mentorship and leadership to agency and client teams

Maintain current knowledge of trends, the competitive landscape, and confidently provide strategic point-of-views to the client

Participate in new business pitch development and/or presentations

Serve on the leadership team, drive office culture and be a mentor to staff

Develop and deliver informed strategic recommendations based on understanding of best practices across each client’s category and competitive set

Manage clients, teams, account budgets and third-party resources – driving the engine of client service

Requirements

15+ years of experience

Prior PR agency experience; integrated communications strategy; specialization in thought leadership; strong writing and narrative development skills; expertise in executive comms (owned and earned)

Experience leading and mentoring diverse teams

Strong media relations skills and contacts

Experience collaborating, multi-tasking and working efficiently with precise attention to detail

Experience delivering impactful and compelling presentations

Demonstrated passion for storytelling and excitement to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment

Self-motivated, organized and reliable

Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy building a team from the ground up and creating new systems, policies and company culture

Relentless curiosity is a must -- we’re always looking for what’s new, next and never been done before and are open to experimentation and pushing the boundaries.

Proficiency in generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, MidJourney, Runway, DALL·E, or similar platforms.

Demonstrated ability to use AI in developing innovative advertising concepts, content creation, and campaign strategies.

Ability to travel periodically to meet with clients as needed, including occasional overnight trips.

Bachelor's Degree

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $220,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates\' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
